I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. After graduating from Elkins High School as an early, three year graduate in 2007, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in Nacogdoches, Texas. While attending SFA, I was a member of Tri Delta Sorority where I held offices as Treasurer and Intramural Sports Chair. I Graduated from SFA in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in middle level grades.
I am currently in my sixth year as a science teacher and my first year as a 7th grade science teacher at Sugar Land Middle School where I will also act as one of the coaches to the robotics team.
I previously taught 6th grade science at James H. Baker Sixth Grade Campus in La Porte, TX where I also served as the robotics coach. In 2015, my robotics partner and I were awarded a grant for $3,658 to help implement a robotics club at our campus. In 2016, we were awarded a grant for $4,000 to purchase iPads for the robotics program.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Education in Digital Learning and Leading at Lamar University.
